Our family has been hit with one of the worst sick

Our family has been hit with one of the worst sicknesses we’ve ever endured. And I can’t help but feel like it’s spiritual, at least in part.
When you’re on mission for Jesus, the enemy will try everything he can to thwart the spread of the gospel and the unity of the church.
I can’t remember a time (other than yesterday) when we didn’t honor our commitment to show up and lead worship…but this virus is so bad we felt strongly like we couldn’t risk spreading it.
Please pray for our children and my husband. They are very sick. It’s been a very hard past 7 days.
By God’s incredible kindness I’m feeling better enough to be nurse to everyone, and though my voice is not quite back, I wanted to share this old song.
It’s one of my deepest prayers. 🙏 That God would continually burn away all of my impurities and cause me to live wholly set apart for Him. 🤍

Well, this morning she came up to me and said… “Remember when you guys prayed for me!? Well I’m 130 days sober!!” 🥹🤍 God is so good!!

Mary Magdalene, a woman who had lived a sinful lif

Mary Magdalene, a woman who had lived a sinful life, came to the banquet and began to weep, her tears falling onto Jesus’ feet, which she then wiped with her hair, kissed, and perfumed with ointment from a jar. Simon was shocked that Jesus would allow an impure woman to do this.

This gets me in the eyes 😭😭 because I’m a perfumed sinner just like Magdalene. And yet Jesus calls even the lowliest into fellowship and intimacy with Him. That truth, makes me at a loss for words.
Such depth of grace. 🥹
and it’s His kindness that fuels my deepest desire to honour Him in everything that I do.

And that’s exactly why we do what we do, week in and week out. 🥹 Telling of this great Redeemer who loves His children so much that He would be willing to lay down His life unto death, even death on a cross. There is no greater love than this.
Doesn’t matter how far you’ve fallen…it’s never out of the reach of His hand of mercy and grace.

I was blessed to be a part of a wonderful outdoor service at @truegracechurch in the morning where hundreds gathered on the front lawn to be encourage to trust God, because of His incredible faithfulness!
Mattaniah lead worship and preached at @ol.church with an incredibly sweet group of faithful followers of Christ!
And then in the evening, multiple churches from throughout Grays Harbor County gathered at @graysharborfoursquare for an evening of worship that we had the privilege of leading.
We are so blessed by God’s people, hearing testimonies of salvation, baptism, reconciliation and healing!!
Our God is so good!!! 🥹🤍✝️🕊️

These are just a handful of moments I’ve captured over the past week…and I can see God’s fingerprints on every single one. 🥹
Watching the sun set on another day, spending quality time with family, being in nature and seeing how all creation reflects the beauty of our amazing Creator…God is very near, IF we have an eye to see Him. And He promises that He will draw near to us, when we draw near to Him.

Check out this quote from my Bible study tonight, it says: “The focus of our sight is inextricably linked to the focus of our heart.”
What do your eyes choose to see?
Because whatever you see is probably indicative of what your heart is chasing after.
May we have hearts that run the race with endurance and open eyes to see where HE is leading us and the assignment HE’s placed on our lives. 🙏🤍

We all have a testimony. I used to think mine wasn

We all have a testimony. I used to think mine wasn’t great because I’d hear crazy stories of all the things people had done and God delivered them from those lifestyles…and don’t get me wrong, my heart is overjoyed when I hear these testimonies of redemption!! 🥹 but for a long time I’ve felt like, less than, because I don’t have a crazy life story.

But that doesn’t mean I’m exempt from temptation, and Lord knows I’m far from perfect! Even though I’ve never tried a drug or been drunk, or gotten involved with witch craft or lived in promiscuity, that doesn’t automatically mean I’m not a wretched sinner in great need of a Savior.

You see, there are many hidden sins like anger, selfishness, pride, lust, envy, unforgiveness and bitterness… all of these things can find their way into the dark corners of our heart and hide. But when God calls us to be His children and walk in His ways…that means our old “natural” way of life has to die. And I’m so grateful for this journey He has me on, of learning truly what it means to be like Christ. And it’s really hard, and I fail alot 😅 but He’s so incredibly patient and gracious. 🙏🤍

I’ve often felt like I don’t have a great test

I’ve often felt like I don’t have a great testimony because I grew up in church and never got caught up in “bad stuff.” BUT….when my mother was unwed at 19 years old, she still chose to give me LIFE! 🥹

And just because I haven’t ever tried a drug doesn’t mean I’m not a wretched sinner in deep need of a Savior. 😭
To walk in love, joy, peace and patience every. single. day, is no small task!!

There have been times in worship when I’m overwhelmed by my Savior’s love for me and just weep…and then times when He feels so very far away. But my heart longs to be with Him more than ever, and I’ll never quite grasp the incredible price He paid, to call me His own. 🙏🤍🥹

This week I got a text from someone we met when we were leading worship at a church, and she said her daughter committed suicide… 😭💔

Of course, my heart is broken and so incredibly heavy for her loss… And I’m just reminded of how important it is to let our light shine, wherever we go, because we never know what people might be going through. 🥺

I recorded this several weeks ago, and thought of it again tonight as a reminder that IF YOU STILL HAVE BREATH IN YOUR LUNGS…YOU’RE STILL IN THIS!! You still have something beautiful to offer the world, so let your light shine! 🌟

Remember, darkness cannot drive out darkness…only light can. 🥹

Last night we got hit with a terrible storm!! ⛈️⚡️ Since we live in an RV, we could feel every wind gust and certainly hear the loud thunder booms and hard rain and hail on the roof. The kids woke up scared. 😳
But I love that I’ve lived through enough storms to be confident that we were gonna be ok, so I was able to comfort them and assure them of their safety. 🥹

And it just reminds me of life….when you have a foundation of biblical truth to stand on, you can be free from fear because you truly rest in the Sovereignty of God…knowing He is for you and He is good. 🙏

If your heart needs a little reminder to let your FAITH be bigger than FEAR, then turn to the truths of Psalm 91 and STREAM our NEW SONG!! 🎧

This past Sunday as I stood in worship, I couldn’t hold back tears. 😭 Sometimes it just hits me and I’m overwhelmed by the reality of how much I’ve been forgiven of and how crazy God’s love is. 🥹 I’ve been a Christian for a long time, but ever since watching @thechosentvseries I feel like my faith has come alive and my longing to just BE with Christ has grown exponentially.
Does this mean I live a perfect, sinless life? No. But it means that I’m much quicker to repent when I fall, and feel a deeper longing to walk in holiness like never before. 🙏

This is our continued prayer, that God would draw us ever nearer to Himself and keep our hearts tender to His leading.

There are sooo many opportunities to serve your local church! Even if you don’t know how to do things, (I didn’t know how to do this stuff 15 yrs ago) a willing and eager servant’s heart goes a loooong way.

If you do have skills, look for opportunities to serve the churches in your area with grace, gentleness, …and basically all the fruit of the Spirit.

These days often don’t make sense. It’s hard to navigate such a treacherous world… especially as a mother and a wife, trying to care for a family, as a full time traveler 🚌 trying to make wise decisions on where to go and what to do in a world that is dangerous, but also broken and lost and needing the hope of Jesus. ✝️

I’m not gonna know all the answers right now, and the roadmap I’ve been given says we walk by faith, not by sight….🗺️ AND that God’s word is a lamp to our feet in a light unto our path… Which means He will illuminate one step at a time.

So, we will continually surrender, making room for Him to move in and through us, wherever He leads day by day.

These past 4 years have not been an easy journey, but there’s something about living a lifestyle utterly dependent on Him that makes my faith grow deeper and deeper, because I stand on the promises of His word, and I KNOW He is faithful. 📖

One of my favorite Old Testament stories is when 1 man, the prophet Elisha, was being pursued by an entire army! ⚔️
When Elisha’s servant went outside and saw that they were surrounded by a great army, he was greatly afraid and cried “what are we gonna do!?”

“Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!”
Then Elisha prayed, “O Lord, OPEN HIS EYES and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire!
‭‭(2 Kings‬ ‭6‬:‭17‬)
They were surrounded by angels!! He only needed eyes to see. 🥹
That is my constant prayer, Lord, give me eyes to see how You see… 🙏

He has already won the victory! 🙌
